WWE 2K26: 7 Rumours You Need To Know

1. Ruthless Aggression Mode

First, an interesting tidbit: WWE's retro scratch logo will feature in 2K26's official advertising material. It popped up in the background of a recent Logan Paul YouTube vlog.

Secondly, the rumour: It's being used to market a 'Ruthless Aggression' Mode, one akin to WWE '13's 'Attitude Era' Mode, and will feature key matches and players from the period of WWE scanning 2002 through 2008.

Thirdly, if the rumours are to be believed, why now? It would be the worst possible time for WWE to digitally detail the era, with too many performers crucial to the time period unable to feature. Chris Benoit can't after what he did away from the ring, Edge is #AllElite until October at the earliest, Chris Jericho won't have returned to WWE in time for in-game consideration, Jim Ross won't be on commentary, The Big Show (admittedly not as relevant) remains in AEW's back pocket.

That list, rather unfortunately, does go on.

The 'Attitude Era' Mode worked splendidly in WWE '13 because everyone who needed to be involved could be. It wouldn't have been worth doing had The Rock or Steve Austin jumped ship to TNA - HA! Imagine. Similarly, a 'Ruthless Aggression' Mode isn't worth the hassle if you can't cover everything Edge did during his prime years.

Still, you can cover the entirety of Triple H's reign of terror. Maybe not that time he tapped out at WrestleMania XX though.

How convenient.
