If you need proof that WWE, 2K and Visual Concepts have been listening to player feedback, then the fact that introducing new match types has been a priority following the franchise's soft reboot in 2022 should satisfy. WarGames, Ambulance, Casket, and Special Guest Referee matches have been among the additions - re-additions, in certain cases. Now, 2K26 promises to add four more to the burgeoning list of playable stipulations.

Again, this report comes from the desk of Insider Gaming's Mike Straw, who is claiming the addition of I Quit, Inferno, Three Stages Of Hell and Dumpster matches. I Quit and Inferno stipulations would be making their first appearances in a WWE video game since 2K14. There, the I Quit scrap operated by pressing either circle or B (on PlayStation or Xbox) to ask if your opponent wanted to quit, then the referee would present a microphone.

Meanwhile, the fiery Inferno situation worked as it does in real life. The only path to victory is setting your opponent ablaze there. Needs must, eh?!

The Three Stages Of Hell match, a returning stipulation from the halcyon days of the SmackDown vs. Raw series and something WWE fans witnessed on the 9 January SmackDown, will allow players to select each stage of the contest. As for the Dumpster match, this will almost certainly work in a similar vein to the Ambulance and Casket matches.

Basically, button-mashing to close the lid will be your friend.
