4. Exclusive Content

One thing that has been the ire of PS3 owners everywhere is how deep Microsoft's pockets appear to be; they possess the infuriating ability to influence a number of key developers - usually by throwing an unimaginable amount of money their way - to produce timed exclusives for the 360, while the PS3 might not end up getting them for around 6 months (we're looking at you, Skyrim) or even longer. For 360 players, though, it's becoming a grand gloating point, a "Daddy loves us more than you" statement that seems to infer that Microsoft has a lot more swagger and industry pull than the folks at Sony. One can only assume that this will continue with the 720; video games will ship on the platform with DLC ranging from new missions to exclusive characters, and only 6 months later - by which time the game's glory has expired and we've all moved onto something else - will it become available on the PS4. For PS4 owners, I sincerely hope this doesn't happen as it's pretty damn low, but don't expect Microsoft to let up with their (presumed) financial incentives to companies. That or someone at the company has quite the black(mail) book indeed (kidding).
