3. More Comfortable Controller?
From what we've seen so far, it seems that the PS4 Dual Shock 4 controller sticks to what works; though there are a few adornments like the Share button and a light bar, the actual tactile features of the controller are almost identical to what we've become accustomed to using. There's a refreshing familiarity to it, though at the same time, a lot of players find the PlayStation controllers awkward to hold. Many have noted that the 360 controller, which featured indented analogue sticks, is more intuitive to the curvature of our thumbs, and so allows for an easier game-playing experience. Though we haven't seen the 720 controller yet - or, in fact, anything - it's fair to assume that they will opt for a similar design to the 360's, given how much acclaim the analogue sticks received when compared to the PS3 equivalent. The fact that Sony has barely changed their controller at all means that Microsoft should have easy pickings garnering some industry support with their new controller.
