Xbox Game Pass: 10 Best Bethesda Games
4. Prey
Taking a completely different approach to the franchise in order to resurrect it, this game is one sci-fi fans will not want to miss, especially if they did so when it released.
Set in an alternate timeline where Kennedy lived and an accelerated space race resulted in encountering an alien race called the Typhon, you play Morgan Yu, who has been recruited to join a research team studying the creatures on a station orbiting the moon. Without revealing to much, suffice to say, things go wrong and you have to do what you can to try to escape.
The story of Prey is arguably its strong point. As a focused, engaging video game narrative, Prey is one of the strongest in recent years. Add to that the shapeshifting abilities of the Typhon themselves, along with the relatively open world design of the station, and you have a tense, engrossing sci fi experience.
Whether a sequel is in the pipeline or not, there's so much potential in Prey that it would be strange to leave by the wayside.
