Xbox One: 10 Reasons It's Already Lost The Console War

9. The PS4 Is More Powerful

PS4 We've all had time to compare the system specs released for the PS4 and Xbox One, and like the previous generation, the diferences are, on the whole, pretty negligible; it's clear that the consoles are going to be able to run games at a similar capacity, and with both platforms running a PC-like architecture, there shouldn't be the porting problems that plagued the previous generation (anyone who played the PS3 port of Bayonetta will attest to how frustrating it was). Both systems are rocking an 8-core x86 APU, 8 GB system memory and Blu-ray drives, though the Xbox One's system memory is only DDR3, whereas the PS4's is GDDR5. Of course, memory is only part of the fight, but it's important for the stabilisation of a game, and as these consoles become more dated in, say, 6 or 7 years, it might be this RAM difference that singles out the Xbox One as the weaker of the two units.
