Xbox One X: 10 Critical Reactions You Need To Know

4. The Launch Lineup Is Underwhelming

"My biggest issue with the Xbox One X is a lack of stunning 4K games to really show why this is worth $499...Microsoft doesn’t have a single launch exclusive for this console, and while enhancements to old games are great, I often found it hard to even notice big differences because I don’t think some of these games were designed with 4K textures in mind. There’s no big blockbuster game I can only play on the Xbox One X right now, and Microsoft isn’t offering up much hope for the future, either." - The Verge
"While we've had a generous amount of time with the Xbox One X hardware, the fact is that high-profile X-enhanced titles available for us to test during the review period have been disappointingly thin on the ground." - Eurogamer

Another common sentiment among critics was that as gorgeous as games do indeed look on the One X, the lack of big marquee games available for its release is extremely disappointing.

The console isn't launching with any AAA system-sellers day one, which undeniably takes some of the wind out of its sails compared to if, say, Halo 6 were a launch title.

Many critics also lamented the lack of notable X-enhanced titles available during the review period, though in fairness this seems likely to change in the coming weeks.

Fingers crossed the E3 shows off some real jaw-dropping games to make use of the One X's full potential, but sadly that's quite a wait.
