Yu-Gi-Oh: 10 Best Signature Monsters From The Anime

7. Number 39: Utopia

Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal's signature card, Yuma could only summon Number 39: Utopia with the help of Astral, whose memories were scattered inside Utopia as well as the 99 other Number cards.

Utopia, then, possibly played a larger role in the anime than any other signature ace monster that had come before, as Yuma and Astral's quest to find all the numbers formed a major narrative arc in the series.

Yuma also relies heavily on Utopia throughout, beefing up the XYZ creature (and its evolved versions, such as Number C39: Utopia Ray) using Zexal Weapons until it can defeat anything that it comes up against.

Yuma's favourite monster, Zexal's protagonist uses Utopia's many variant forms to great effect throughout the series, and the monster's lore is one of the most fleshed-out across all the anime.

Although the original Number 39: Utopia might not be as flexible as some of the other cards in this list, being most effective in themed decks, a monster with the same ATK as Dark Magician and the ability to negate attacks twice is pretty decent in its own right.

However, Utopia's ability to easily bring out the formidable Number 99: Utopic Dragon has drawn many players, competitive and casual alike, to Yuma's ace monster.
