Zelda: Breath Of The Wild: 10 Best Overworld Bosses

3. The Molduking

Moldugas are huge sand-burrowing creatures that listen to sound tremors from the surface to pounce on their prey. They deal vast amounts of damage, and the player must approach their sandy plains with caution. With The Champion’s Ballad DLC pack, the much-stronger Molduking makes things all the more tense.

The Molduking has rested beneath the sand for centuries, developing an iron-like skin from all its time spent underground. This side effect makes it incredibly tough to land damage with conventional weapons. The Molduking acts similarly to the Moldugas and can be attracted to the surface by using remote bombs and walking on the sands yourself.

The best approach is to use shock arrows or Urbosa’s Fury to chip away at the monster’s health, as its iron hide makes the beast susceptible to electrical damage. Players quick enough can stun the creature with a remote bomb before they burrow again. Once defeated, it will unlock the Keive Tala Shrine.
