Zelda: Breath Of The Wild - 10 Subtly Genius Easter Eggs You Totally Missed
4. The Golden Goddesses Reborn
I'd wager the first time you see one of these majestic beasts floating through the night sky, you'll do a double-take. Pre-launch, the press were forbade from giving away their existence, as Nintendo wanted to preserve the "HOLY SH*T!!" reaction to coming upon one when you least expect it.
And for good reason, because Breath of the Wild's take on the Golden Goddesses is truly epic. Appearing for the first time in-game since Zelda's twin Oracles games (where you tracked down and saved one Goddess per game), here they play a part in a number of specific side-quests, yet the base connection to the goddesses of yore is only something you'll recognise if you're a series fan.
Originally named Farore, Nayru and Din, in dragon-form they become Farosh (green), Naydra (blue) and Dinraal (red). You can find them at the requisite points below - just use the updrafts created by their movements to take off with the paraglider and do battle in the skies for some ultra-rare monster parts.
