Zelda: Breath Of The Wild - 10 Subtly Genius Easter Eggs You Totally Missed

5. As Will Robin Williams

One of the only big-name celebrities to associate themselves with a Nintendo product in a truly meaningful way, Robin Williams adored the franchise so much, he named his own daughter Zelda.

Sadly, Williams took his own life in 2014, but not long after, various petitions and movements were started by Nintendo fans, asking the company to immortalise him in a future game, which they acknowledged without giving any specifics.

Flash forward to 2017, and players have debated for weeks about whether or not a variety of different NPCs are Williams' in-game doppelgangers, but the most likely fit is the energetic and thoroughly loveable 'Robbie'. First-up, his name is the most Americanised across all of Hyrule, his OTT poses connote physical comedy in a way that totally fits Williams' manner, and by trading in Guardian tech, he's literally the key character that lets you research the most powerful weapons in the game, providing the means to infiltrate Hyrule Castle and stop Ganon.

A comedic helper who's ostensibly watching over your every move, being your Guardian and ensuring Zelda makes it home safe? That sounds like a perfect fit.
