Zelda: Breath Of The Wild 2 - 10 Things Nintendo Must FIX
1. Bring Back Dungeons
Acting as a substitute for the dungeons in previous Zelda titles, the Divine Beasts were a cool idea: Big, mechanical, mobile levels that needed to be beaten in combat before exploring the inside of them.
Having to hunt for them was a nice touch as well. Instead of just being told where to go, you actually had to explore the land and find the clues necessary to overcome their traps and defences.
Unfortunately, they were all way too similar in tone and design, with nothing really separating them from one another. There was no sense of atmosphere or any iconic enemies, just purple blobs.
They weren't that big either with very few secrets or winding paths to explore often feeling like larger versions of the shrines located around the rest of the map.
The simple solution would be to put more traditional Zelda dungeons in hard to reach locations. Maybe take a leaf from Dark Souls and force players to explore further inside mountains and tombs, going deeper and deeper until... something immense and Zelda-ish.
