Zelda: Breath Of The Wild 2 - 10 Things Nintendo Must FIX

2. Deeper Combat

Zelda's combat has always been good and perfectly serviceable, but given the level of pedigree and heritage involved, it could be so much better.

Sword play hasn't really changed that much since it's 3D debut in Ocarina of Time. You lock on, you attack when the enemy drops their guard and you raise your shield when they're on the offensive.

Rinse, repeat.

It's about time Zelda took combat to the next level, just like they have done in all other areas of each instalment.

Skyward Sword tried something new and with the Switch Joy Con's motion control options, and maybe that could open up some possibilities.

Do your thing Nintendo, get creative and whacky.

No one's expecting Devil May Cry levels of swordplay in a game like this, but perhaps it could learn from the likes of Sekiro or Nioh?

Tight and challenging, with a greater variety of enemies that require different tactics?

We can but dream.
