3. More Mature Story
Throughout its history the Zelda franchise has never had the the deepest of stories to tell, even in the world of gaming, which is a shame.

Nintendo is always trying to push the limits of its art direction and gameplay mechanics, and it's not like they don't have the budget to employ talented writers. There's such tremendous potential to take fantasy storytelling to wonderful new places.
There's very little out there that's like Zelda, and even in the crowded fantasy game market, it stands out as one of the elite top tier.
Games like Majora's Mask attempted to do something a little less conventional, but even then there was very little in the way of narrative or character arcs. It was still a game about saving the kingdom.
The new, darker setting may allow for a more interesting story, but time will tell if the undead play an integral part. Maybe it's time to give Link a voice? No? Well how about playing as Zelda and letting her talk instead?
