Don't feel bad if you haven't heard of 1995's largely panned genre schlock-fest Jack-O, but the card-carrying B-movie does nevertheless hold some credit among bad film aficionados.

And yet, few of them could've ever anticipated that the film would get a sequel, especially after more than three decades have passed.

But at the start of August, one of the original film's executive producers, Fred Olen Ray, announced that he will be writing and directing a Jack-O sequel - Jack-O 2: Blood Moon Rising, to be precise.

In addition to Ray helming, original Jack-O director Steve Latshaw is onboard as an executive producer, and the cast is set to include genre vets Sybil Danning, Richard Gabai, Sushii Xhyvette Holder, and Martin Nicholas.

Ray is currently seeking to crowdfund $50,000 towards production of the sequel, which he intends to shoot later this year for a 2026 release.

No matter how it turns out, it's hard not to respect the hustle at least a little bit.
