1. Squid Game - Season 2

Another gargantuan success for Netflix came when some sicko went "What would happen if you took all your favourite playground games and made them a million times more dangerous?"

Squid Game took everyone by surprise when the South Korean show picked up serious steam in 2021, eventually surpassing Bridgerton as the site's most-watched programme of all time. The premise was simple; a group of hard-up people play a series of deadly childhood games in order to win a huge cash prize. You lose, you die.

Since then, Squid Game has become a cultural phenomenon. Now, three years after this watershed moment, the games are making a comeback.

Season 2 of the show has been in production since the Summer of 2023, with a release in the second half of 2024 looking very likely. With Lee Jung-Jae set to return as Seong Gi-hun and a bunch of other Korean stars set to join as new characters, the return of Squid Game should be just as violent, shocking, and emotionally destructive as it was the first time around.
