7. Santa’s Slay
Look, sometimes a horror comedy in which wrestling superstar Bill Goldberg portrays a murderous Santa Claus is exactly what the doctor ordered.
Santa's Slay isn't big or clever, but it is fun; a beguiling fusion of cornball holiday movie with gory, tongue-in-cheek slasher flick, built around Goldberg dismantling the hapless locals in creative ways for 78 minutes.
Perhaps the weirdest thing about this fever dream of a movie, though, is the surprisingly distinguished and diverse cast roped in alongside Goldberg, including James Caan, Fran Drescher, Emilie de Ravin, Saul Rubinek, Chris Kattan, Rebecca Gayheart, and Tom Lister.
It's pretty clear what you're getting into with this one from the outset, but as Killer Santa movies go, it's at least got a distinctive tone, some unforgettable kills, and a surprisingly effective performance from Goldberg, who also delivers one of the most badass-looking screen Santas of all time.
Movies starring wrestlers with limited acting ability are incredibly easy targets, but Santa's Slay actually made it (mostly) work.
