16. Anita - Your Host
Your Host sees four friends forced into a twisted "game show" by a deranged serial killer, Barry Miller (Jackie Earle Haley), who takes considerable joy in offing his victims in myriad creative ways. And by far the most wince-inducing of these deaths is afforded to the single remaining character at the very end of the movie, Anita (Ella-Rae Smith).
Barry prepares to shove Anita face-first into a cake, with a terrified Anita assuming that the cake will have a knife in it. Barry insists she's wrong, and after smashing her face into the cake, it appears that it was totally harmless. At first, anyway.
Within a few moments, Anita's face begins to burn, revealing that Barry spiked the icing with some sort of acid.
Anita screams in pain as the acid continues to burn her face away and also blinds her, and after squirming around in agony for a while, she finally expires from the traumatic injury. In an otherwise so-so horror film, this was one hell of a memorably nasty kill.
