In this mind-bending thriller, strangers wake up inside a cube-shaped maze filled with interconnected rooms, many of which are booby-trapped. With only one path leading to the exit, they must stand united if they hope to survive.

One prisoner, Quentin, takes charge of the situation, devising theories, cooking up plans, and giving each person a purpose. However, most of Quentin's practical solutions are dismissed by Worth, a weaselly prisoner who acts like he knows more than he's letting on.

On paper, Quentin and Worth fit the roles of the story's hero and villain perfectly, but halfway through, the dynamic does a complete flip. Worth bonds with fellow captive, Leaven,  giving him the incentive to escape. Quentin, on the other hand, proves to have a mean streak, pummelling, groping, or murdering anybody who defies him.

What's worse is that Worth and Leaven have to continue working alongside Quentin since they need as many people as possible to stand a chance of escaping.

But as Quentin continues to spiral, the others desert him, certain he's going to get them all killed, directly or indirectly.
