And finally we have the immensely underappreciated Hunter Hunter, which sees protagonist Anne (Camille Sullivan) face off against Lou (Nick Stahl), a serial killer who murdered her husband Joseph (Devon Sawa).

But it gets worse from there - Lou then kills Anne's teenage daughter Renee (Summer H. Howell), prompting Anne to exact a most brutal revenge by flaying Lou alive.

In the final scene, Anne emerges from her cabin with Lou's skinned face, all while she's swarmed by cops.

This is all plainly horrifying, but even once Anne talks to the police, she's probably going to have a tough time convincing them she wasn't responsible for at least some of the other deaths in the story - namely her own family.

And even if they do believe her, she still murdered and flayed a man, which regardless of his status as a serial killer is likely to earn her some time in jail.
