20 Horror Movie Sequels Releasing In 2026

Evil Dead might well be the most impressively consistent long-running horror franchise ever, given that every single one of its five entries, as well as its TV show, has at least been pretty good. And producer Sam Raimi will hope to keep the streak going with Evil Dead Burn, another standalone installment, the details of which are still firmly under wraps.

Here's what we do know: rising French genre filmmaker Sébastien Vaniček (Infested) is directing a lesser-known cast including Souheila Yacoub, Hunter Doohan, Luciane Buchanan, Tandi Wright, and George Pullar.

Given that Evil Dead Rise proved how the series could evolve and survive without Bruce Campbell's Ash, and was actually well-suited to a collection of standalone sicko horror stories, it appears that Burn will be following the same lead. Given the franchise's basically immaculate track record to date, it's so easy to have faith in this sequel sight unseen.
