12. Crackcoons
Sometimes it's enough that a movie actually got made at all, and that's probably the case with the utterly ridiculous Crackcoon - an insanely low-budget Cocaine Bear knock-off which came and went in a blink in 2024 amid largely negative reviews.
Between this and the fact that the drugged-up animal movie trend seems to have already died a death, there wasn't much expectation for another Crackcoon to ever materialise. But in April, original director Brad Twigg announced that Crackcoon 2 was now in development, with the inspired, James Cameron-aping title Crackcoons, and Josh Wasylink (Deathstalker, Psycho Goreman) on board to deliver the practical creature effects.
Twigg announced the film while unveiling its Kickstarter page, which, in fairness, amassed almost $16,000 in funding - far above its $10,000 goal - in less than a month. Twigg also promised a sequel that will offer "more practical effects, more gore, more insanity, and more raccoons." Neat for those who dig it, then.
