Though there are many, many horror fans who can't quite get behind the idea of remaking 1981's psych-horror masterpiece Possession, in the very least director Parker Finn (Smile) has nailed the casting right out of the gate.

The put-upon couple Anna and Mark, played so memorably by Isabelle Adjani and Sam Neill in the original, will this time be portrayed by Margaret Qualley and Callum Turner.

Qualley earned a whole ton of genre cred with her sublime, Oscar-worthy performance in The Substance alone, while Turner has been consistently putting out strong dramatic performances across film and TV in recent years.

Again, there's considerable skepticism about Possession getting a Hollywood remake at all, but at least Finn will be able to put his best foot forward by having two terrific performers attempting to live up to Adjani and Neill's prior work.

If the film isn't any good, it surely won't be because Finn cast it wrong.
