20 Worst Endings In Recent Horror Movies

14. Final Destination Bloodlines

Final Destination Bloodlines was a shockingly solid sequel, though most will surely agree that the rushed final sequence is by far the worst part of the movie.

Amid the mayhem, Stefani (Kaitlyn Santa Juana) and Charlie's (Teo Briones) mother Darlene (Rya Kihlstedt) is frantically cut in half by a lamp post, all while Stefani begins to drown in an overturned, waterlogged RV.

Charlie makes the save and revives her, seemingly breaking Death's chain of carnage in a manner that's just a bit too derivative of Kimberly's (AJ Cook) resurrection at the end of Final Destination 2.

Homage? Perhaps, but the rest of the movie seemed above merely reheating past successes.

But the real disappointment comes next when the big, predictable twist is dropped - the father of Charlie's prom date points out that Stefani technically never died because she didn't enter cardiac arrest before Charlie revived her, meaning the pair are still on Death's list.

And at that moment, a freight train derails in town, the catapulted cargo promptly killing Stefani and Charlie with some laughably cartoonish CGI gore.

Clearing the table isn't exactly a new trick for the Final Destination series, but it was nevertheless disappointing how supremely obvious this ending was to anyone familiar with the prior entries.

As a final "gotcha" twist, it all fell a bit flat.
