20 Worst Endings In Recent Horror Movies

Fear Street: Prom Queen marked a major step down from the original Fear Street trilogy, in large part because its killer reveal was so flatly predictable.

It's eventually revealed that the main killers are - surprise surprise - played by the two most famous cast members. 

Chris Klein and Katherine Waterston, who play married couple Dan and Nancy Falconer, are eventually outed as the masked culprits, their motivation being to secure the title of Prom Queen for their daughter Tiffany (Fina Strazza), while stopping her main rival Lori (India Fowler) at any cost.

Oh, and Tiffany is also in on it for good measure.

The two main killers being the most predictable choices imaginable is one thing, but the resulting confrontation, where Dan is arrested and Lori kills both Nancy and Tiffany, isn't up to much.

There's nothing particularly fun or clever about any of this, confirming beyond any doubt that Prom Queen can't hold a candle to Leigh Janiak's three prior Fear Street movies.
