1 Overlooked Gem Song From Every Iron Maiden Album

6. The Thin Line Between Love & Hate - Brave New World

In 2000, Iron Maiden recovered from the worst run in their history. Things hadn't been great since 'Seventh Son', but now came Bruce Dickinson and Adrian Smith back to the fold, making the band a six-piece for the first time and producing one of their strongest albums to date.

There isn't a bad track to be found on the release, however while 'The Wicker Man' and 'Blood Brothers' have found their place on many a setlist since, the rest of the album has been left behind.

There could be an argument made for any of the other tracks to be the most overlooked on the album, but 'The Thin Line Between Love and Hate' potentially makes the most compelling of them. This celebrated the return of Bruce Dickinson like no other track, allowing the frontman to show off just how powerful his voice was, and what the band had been missing for the last seven years.

Clocking in at 8-and-a-half minutes, this anthemic journey absolutely deserves to be counted among the epics of Iron Maiden's back catalogue, but is strangely never really mentioned in that conversation.
