As the singer of This Is America and Redbone, Donald Glover, under the alias of Childish Gambino, displayed his musical prowess for rapping, and the rhythm and the blues.
With Redbone being released in 2016 and receiving one award out of its Grammy nominations, it was amazing to see that 2018 release This Is America won all four of the categories it was nominated in. That much marked just how Glover had successfully transitioned into the music hemisphere.
Before this, we saw him star in the Dan Harmon-created Community, and further saw him in Solo: A Star Wars Story in 2018 and The Lion King in 2019.
What a fortunate man indeed. To have This Is America be a top of the charts debut in America, and also, act in some of Disney's most lucrative properties. If he continues to dabble in both areas, we might see him perform a larger role in the MCU due to his appearance as Aaron Davis in Spider-Man: Homecoming.
