4. Grimes Untitled Album
Canadian singer Grimes is on the cusp of musical superstardom following the release of her critically acclaimed 2015 album Art Angels, but she's had a devoted following since her first album Geidi Primes dropped in 2010. Before the release of Art Angels, though, Grimes struggled with writing new material (a struggle that absolutely paid off). The musician penned and subsequently scrapped an entire album, famously saying It sucked, so I threw it out and started again. She went into more detail in a 2015 interview, however, stating that she thought the album was much too gloomy to match her current mood. Melancholy and a darker tone can often lead to a musician's most interesting material, so it's a massive shame the record was never released. Not all hope is lost, however, as Grimes commented she may yet release the album at some point in the future for free.
