10 Albums From Famous Artists NOT On Streaming Services

6. Frank Ocean - Nostalgia, Ultra

You'd be mistaken for thinking that Frank Ocean only has two albums. Before the release of Channel Orange in 2012, Ocean released the full-length Nostalgia, Ultra in 2011. While self-released, Ocean found success with the mixtape, which spawned a minor hit with Novacane. Three months after the original release, Def Jam announced plans to re-release the mixtape which could've led to the album being available on streaming services. Sadly, these plans were cancelled.

Perhaps licensing was too big a hurdle to overcome, as the album features samples by numerous artists across a multitude of labels. These include Coldplay, MGMT, and Radiohead. The Eagles also threatened Ocean with legal action if he performed the track American Wedding live, which samples Hotel California. Don Henley later called Ocean "talentless".

This didn't stop recognition for Album of the Year Lists and awards for Nostalgia, Ultra though. Only the singles Novacane and Swim Good can currently be played on streaming services and no official physical pressings of the album exist, so you'll have to find your own way to the album these days.
