3. Miranda Cosgrove - High Maintenance

High Maintenance is the second release from Miranda Cosgrove, released when she was just 18. While she might not be the biggest name, the talent supporting the former iCarly star means this 2011 release shouldn't be lost to history.

The lead single Dancing Crazy was penned by Avril Lavigne, and produced by Swedish hit-maker Max Martin. Unfortunately, the single could only hit no. 100 on the Billboard Hot 100. The second single High Maintenance also failed with a drab guest star.

But which artist did Columbia and Epic Records choose to propel Miranda to success? Only Weezer's Rivers Cuomo. In fairness, Cuomo is a prolific pop songwriter who did have a recent hit on his hands with B.o.B’s Magic in 2010. However, the 40-year-old was perhaps a little too old to sing about his dysfunctional relationship with Cosgrove.

Weezer fans will cringe at lines such as "You had a big party; your friends trashed the place" and “You always keep me waiting / Your on Miranda time / But you know the promoters / You never wait in line”.

The rest of the release is standard teen pop, but feels a little stuck in the club boom. At the time of writing, only her 2010 debut Sparks Fly is available to stream.
