10 Amazing Hard Rock Music Videos
7. Bulls On Parade - Rage Against The Machine
It's hard to think of the '90s without bringing up Rage Against the Machine. As the rock world started to get more angsty, these guys took all the foundations of rock and rap and created a unique hybrid that hasn't been seen before or since. However, the music was just a small part of what Rage could do when it came to leaving an impression.
Though fans had gotten used to Zack de la Rocha's scathing political lyrics, the video for "Bulls for Parade" felt like all of those harsh words brought to life before your eyes. Starting off with a few shots of the band playing, the grainy footage starts to shift to reveal everything from revolutionary manifestos to the faces of corrupt leaders looking to control the masses in front of them.
By the time the chorus kicks in, you start to realize that you're not necessarily watching a band perform as much as you're seeing a revolution going on in real time. With de la Rocha getting more and more emphatic, the mosh pit that he commands slowly starts to feel like a feral uprising against oppression. Rage Against the Machine had plenty of songs that dealt with harsh realities, but this music video actually made you feel like the resistance had begun.
