10 Amazing Hidden Tracks On Classic Albums

3. Blood - My Chemical Romance

Everything that My Chemical Romance had worked for as a band felt like it was leading to the Black Parade. As much as their other albums may have had concepts behind their production, this is the most airtight story they have ever committed to a record, telling the tale of a man stricken with cancer and contemplating his own mortality across every one of these tracks. As Famous Last Words fades out though, Blood feels like the alternate ending that we never got to see.

Set to a tune that feels like it should come out of a 1920's jazz club, Blood is one of the more campy songs that MCR would ever write, talking about what happens once the man actually dies. Though the final track on the album leaves it up in the air as to whether he's dead or not, this is what happens if he actually dies on the operating table at the end of the last song, with the band taking a few minutes of rest before the nurses start draining him of all the blood in his body.

Even in his vegetative state, his spirit is not even thinking about repenting for his sins, knowing that he's done a lot more harm than good throughout his life and being quite content with leaving nothing but a few pints of blood to stand as his legacy. This version might undercut some of the more epic parts of the record in some sections, but as an elseworld's bad ending to what we just heard, it's at least good to hear that he's happy on the other side.
