10 Amazing Songs By Terrible Artists

8. Hard to See - Five Finger Death Punch

At this point, Five Finger Death Punch has become more of a caricature for the rock scene more than anything else. Aside from just making the same midtempo schlock over and over again, this is just the kind of music that is made for the guy who bench presses way too much and hangs out at Buffalo Wild Wings well after closing time. Still, it's not like these guys didn't have potential when starting out.

Although Hard to See is far from the most progressive song in the hard rock canon, you can see why it got popular, with the guitar playing being pretty solid and Ivan Moody bringing a lot of charisma behind the microphone. Yes, you heard that right. Before he was the guy that fluctuated between old man growls and half asleep cover songs, this was the Moody that we fell in love with, who can go for a hell of a shout if the time called for it.

Hell, the only reason why this one holds up to the passage of time is because it was the one good song that they burrowed into the ground. While not every song since this has been awful, it's clear that Moody is trying to repeat the formula instead of making something actually original. For a brief moment though, it looked things just might be looking up.
