10 Anticipated Albums Still To Come In 2019
4. Electric Light Orchestra
Electric Light Orchestra have experienced an unexpected revival in the 2010s. This Beatlesesque band were one of the first to incorporate classical instruments into rock music, and as a result, the band can keep touring with an orchestra despite having only two remaining original members.
In 2015, the band released their first album in 14 years with the release of Alone in the Universe. Their calls of lonely space travel were answered, as their 1978 hit Mr. Blue Sky was included in the opening of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Jeff Lynne's ELO has since held a Legends Slot at Glastonbury, and has sold-out world tours once again.
The band dropped lead single From Out of Nowhere quite literally so, with a surprise single and album reveal in September. Their title track fits right in with their discography, and features almost all instruments played solely by 71-year-old Lynne.
The boomer rock band will release their 14th album on November 1st.
