10 Anticipated Rock Music Albums Coming Out In 2022

You can identify a Slipknot track almost instantly. The guitars will be harsh and grinding, you'll be hit by a wall of drums, and the vocals are likely to rupture an eardrum. The first single from the group's upcoming album does exactly that.

Throughout 2021, Corey Taylor was dropping intermittent hints about a new Slipknot project. In December of last year, while speaking to HardDrive Radio, he confirmed the record is near to completion. In a transcript from Blabbermouth Cory was quoted as saying they've completed "about 90 per cent" of the album. Going on, he said, "I actually like this one more than I like We Are Not Your Kind". Of course, Taylor isn't going to say otherwise, it would be a poor marketing approach, but his excitement is a good sign, regardless.

The album was expected to be mixed this month, with the realise coming in August. Other than some vague alluding to the record being their craziest one yet (they say this every time...), we haven't heard much more. The band are also planning to share an album of previously unheard demos from the All Hope Is Gone sessions, recorded back in 2008.
