10 Artists Who Got Away With Totally Breaking The Law

3. Vince Neil

Motley Crue are either the greatest hair metal band of all time or the worst, depending on who you ask. Whatever your opinions though, it€™s hard to deny that they were one of the biggest rock bands in the 80s and continue to enjoy a large fanbase to this day. What you may not have known however is that lead singer Vince Neil once killed his friend, Nicholas €œRazzle€ Dingley - drummer for the Finnish hard rock band Hanoi Rocks - in a car accident in 1984. The two were attending a party when they decided to make a quick trip to the liquor store to replenish their stock. Neill who was drunk at the time with a breath alcohol volume of 0.17 lost control of his car and crashed onto an oncoming vehicle. Dingley was killed as a result and the two occupants of the other vehicle suffered serious brain damage. In all fairness Neil didn€™t exactly get away with it as he was later charged with vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence. However, he only ended up serving 15 days of his 30 day sentence in jail as well as being fined for 2.5 million dollars to be paid in restitution to the victims of his crash. To give the man some credit he does admit his punishment was rather pitiful; €œI should have gone to prison. I definitely deserved to go to prison. But I did 30 days in jail and got laid and drank beer, because that's the power of cash. That's f**ked up€.
