Led Zeppelin still to this day conjures up the image of a mighty beast, which time has only added more mystique to. Completely ruling the 1970's, they abruptly called it quits in 1980 with the death of their drummer John Bonham. Since then, they've done a few one-off shows for special events, and Page and Plant did a project together in the mid-90's, with a small tour. None of those performances led to an actual album of new material with the surviving members, which is exactly what the world wants. Led Zep's albums were a thing of beauty, soundscapes and opuses that showed what a great band could do with great producing. Almost cinematic in their scope, Zeppelin's catalog is something that would only be added to, with the great songwriting chemistry of Jimmy Page and Robert Plant. It's a pity that all Plant does now is sing with country stars, and lead bands that specialise in Eastern music.
