7. Genesis
Progressive rock ruled in the 1970's, and no one was bigger than the lads in Genesis. Blessed with a rabid fanbase, who didn't even mind when the band took an abrupt turn into straight-on pop music when the synthesizer-clad 80's arrived, Genesis technically never really broke up. They would lose an essential member, and then continue on in a different vein. But what the fans want is for Peter Gabriel to return to the fold. Granted, it will be hard, especially with drummer Phil Collins suffering from back ailments that essentially have ended his percussion days. But even if he isn't behind the skins, just having the mercurial Gabriel at the mic, with his trademark nasally vocals, would take fans back to the band's heyday when ten minute songs were the norm.
