10 Artists That Destroyed Their Own Album
8. The Life of Pablo - Kanye West
Almost half of the allure regarding Kanye West normally comes at the expense of his own hype train. Let's face it...the man is only in his element when he has a healthy audience to work off of, and his approach to his album rollouts is no different. Then again, sometimes you can go a little too far in one direction when it comes to the Life of Pablo.
Looking to premiere the album in conjunction with his fashion show at Madison Square Garden, the hype was real regarding this project, with many different big name artists being written on a notepad appearing in conjunction with the song titles. When the date eventually arrived though, the record still wasn't finished, with the final mixes being held up by what appeared to be Chance the Rapper's involvement with the project.
By the time the album was released at first, Ye was still adamant that the record wasn't properly finished, saying that he would work on select tracks like Wolves over again before settling on the remix that we got well after everyone and their mother had heard it. As much as Kanye can be an unstoppable talent when he's in his element, the amount of time that you have to slog through one setback after another has made fans preemptively tired for what he has coming next.
