10 Artists Who Could Headline Glastonbury 2015

6. Prince

There was a very public courtship going on between Prince and Eavis, and it came to be thought upon by many that the little maestro was going to be the mystery Saturday night headliner as short a time ago as March. Unfortunately for lovers of the funky sex dwarf, the wooing was a little too public for Prince. He took what can only be described as a weapons-grade huff upon mistakenly thinking that Eavis was using the association of his name to sell tickets and promptly had his representatives pull the plug on negotiations. While unfortunate for those of us who had to sit through the bear-hating James Hetfield yodelling his way through Metallica's set instead, this is not the final word on the prospect of Prince playing the UK's biggest festival. The artist formerly known as The Artist Formally Known As Prince is a distinctly safe bet to appear at a UK festival soon. He clearly enjoys playing in Britain along with his recent residencies in London, and he would certainly seem to be a better fit at Glastonbury than say, Leeds/Reading. The chances on 2015 being his year probably rest on whether he's likely to storm away from the negotiating table again.
