10 Artists Who Openly Dissed Their Fans

8. Linkin Park Helps Fans

Above all else, you always want to make sure your fans are having a good time at your show. So what if there's one guy distracting from everyone else's fun? As long as the rest of you can keep up the attitude, than that's all that matters. Then again, it can get a little more dicey when someone falls down in the pit.

During the early days of Linkin Park, they were playing a club gig when someone went down right in the middle of the crowd. In any other case, this would just be a thing that happens and people would move on, but Linkin Park knew that they needed to take care of the guy. Stopping midway through the song, Chester Bennington brought everything to a halt to make sure the kid was picked up and got out of the chaos in one piece.

It's a relief too, considering how many people who end up getting pulled down in the crowd normally sustain potential injury or even death at some points. There's even a point in the clip where Bennington scolds the rest of the crowd for not intervening when they had the chance to. As much as this kind of thing might seem a little too disciplinary for some, it speaks more to the quality of people who populate every metal show. We may be headbangers, but we take care of our own.
