3. Slipknot
This nine-piece band is known for their aggressive music, and they bring that to the chaos of their live set. They headlined the Rockstar Mayhem Fest last year, their first tour since losing bassist Paul Gray in May 2010. The band had just released their greatest hits album, Antennas to Hell, and rumors swirled about the future of the band. Throughout the set, lead singer Corey Taylor consistently talks up the crowd, and the visceral sound that comes from the group stirs the blood of everyone in attendance. The band has made it a tradition to have the crowd get down during the song Spit It Out and having them all jump the f*** up as Taylor sings the line during the songs final verse. Sadly, Slipknot currently has only three European tour dates listed on its website for 2013, but after hints at Download, we can expect something else pretty big coming soon.
