10 Awesome Rock Music Songs With Terrible Lyrics

4. Feeder - Buck Rogers

Buck Rogers is a fictional character who first appeared in comic strips towards the end of the 1920s.

He's gone on to appear in more comics, books, films, TV shows, and in this utterly bizarre song from Welsh rock band Feeder.

Easily their most popular song, Buck Rogers debuted in 2001 and was a smash hit. Feeder's post-Britpop sound was very en vogue at the time, and British music fans couldn't get enough of this quirky number named after an old astronaut.

He's got a brand new car/Looks like a Jaguar/It's got leather seats/It's got a CD player, player, player, player...

CD players might have been flash back in the day, but was there really any need for you to hang on that word for so long, Feeder?

As for the second verse, that's even crazier.

We'll start over again/Grow ourselves new skin/Get a house in Devon/Drink cider from a lemon, lemon, lemon, lemon...

That would taste horrible.

Ultimately, these non-sequitur lyrics just add to this song's charm. It's short, sweet, makes absolutely no sense whatsoever, but it's so effortlessly cool that nobody in their right mind could have cared.

Unless they'd actually tried the whole "cider from a lemon" thing.
