10 AWFUL Albums By Legendary Bands

8. The Rolling Stones - Dirty Work (1986)

After a three year hiatus, a Mick Jagger solo album and countless fights between lead creatives - Jagger and Keith Richards, The Rolling Stones finally released the much anticipated album - Dirty Work.

It's a miracle The Stones churned out this record at all giving the drama within the band. It would be fair to say that they shouldn't have bothered, as this mediocre album leaves nothing noteworthy to be remembered by apart from the cheesy album artwork of the band man-spreading on a sofa wearing multi coloured suits.

Worst Song: Harlem Shuffle

For some inexplicable reason, The Rolling Stones decided to put their own spin on the iconic R&B single Harlem Shuffle by Bob & Earl. Much like Jagger's pink suit with yellow trousers, this cover song has no business being on the album let alone a single.

The Stones may have cut the horn section from the original but it still blows plenty.

Worst Lyrics: (Had It With You)Yeah, you known me in the lean years/Loved you in the fat ones/You're a mean mistreater/You're a dirty, dirty rat scum

Saving Grace: The intro to One Hit (To The Body) is an epic explosion of electric guitars and is a taste of classic Stones.
