10 AWFUL Albums By Legendary Bands

6. Queen - Made In Heaven (1995)

Made in Heaven was released four years after the tragic death of Freddie Mercury and was Queen's 15th and final album. Despite Freddie resting in peace, the rest of the band were able to pay homage to the great man by cutting together some pre-written songs and a collection of isolated vocal recordings.

Queen then tried to add the music around Freddie's vocals in the hopes it would seamlessly fit together. Unfortunately, and despite the band's best efforts, it is an attempt that neither compliments the passionate vocals or the backing music that accompanies them.

It's the musical equivalent to finding a replica iron throne from Game Of Thrones and trying to fit your living room sofas and chairs around it. As much as you try, the throne won't fit the feng shui and the rest of your furniture will look naff in comparison.

Worst song: This is a tough one to do because the lyrics and emotion in his voice hits differently considering they were recorded in the lead up to his death. Saying that, Too Much Love Will Kill You, is too long and it tries to milk the emotion from an already dry cow.

Saving grace: Freddie's vocals are timeless.

I see my role at WhatCulture the same way my wife sees my role as a lover: I contribute in a very small way, my presence is barely noticeable and I’m not entirely sure if the laughter is at me or with me.
