10 Bad Songs From Great Bands

7. Green Day - Nightlife (Dos!, 2012)

Following a three year break on the back of their best worldwide chart performance, Green Day made the unexpected announcement that they were due to release three consecutive albums consisting of their greatest material. Whether this was purely a marketing ploy, or the results of a mid-life crisis is uncertain, but what we can say for sure is that the three records fell far from the heights of Dookie and American Idiot.

Tucked away on the second album of the trilogy is €˜Nightlife€™, a wildly shambolic mess, which sees the band caught within the previously unfamiliar territory of autotune smothered R'n€™B. Bay Area rapper Lady Cobra makes a guest appearance, spitting out some painfully unimaginative lyrics that will leave you quivering in disgust. Among the least desirable is €œcheap champagne on an even cheaper suit, hope there'€™s more in your pants than a bus route€. Just dreadful.
