10 Bad Songs From Great Bands

3. Weezer ft. Lil Wayne - Can€™t Stop Partyin€™ (Raditude, 2009)

Either €˜Can€™t Stop Partyin€™ is a painfully unfunny joke or possibly one of the most ill conceived pop/rock collaborations in existence. Well, maybe not as bad as Ozzy Osbourne and Miss Piggy. €˜Can€™t Stop Partyin€™ is ashamedly catchy with vocalist Rivers Cuomo for the most part, repeating the tracks title embedding deeper into the listener€™s skull.

Lyrics €œMonday to Sunday I hit all the clubs, And everybody knows me when I pull up€ play on the lazy cliches found in pop, but feel especially strange coming from a band nearing their 40s. It's obvious that the track is intended as an ironic take on the current state of pop music, but what is questionable is how it was ever able to grace an album from one of the finest alt-rock bands of the 90s.
