10 Band Members Who ABSOLUTELY HATE Each Other
7. Paul Stanley/Gene Simmons - KISS
Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons have remained one of the most enduring songwriting teams in rock history. Ever since forming KISS in the early '70s, these two hard rock legends have always felt like partners in crime onstage, bringing the audience the best rock and roll show anyone has ever seen. That doesn't necessarily mean they have to actually get along though.
Despite what you might think from their occasional lead vocal duets and undeniable charisma, Stanley hasn't minced words about how much he wasn't a fan of Simmons when they first met. Upon first being introduced, Stanley was more enamored with the songs Gene had than the actual person he was, with an ego that was big enough to fill an entire mansion.
Even though they have kicked out countless members of KISS throughout the years, even Simmons seemed tired of Stanley's antics in the group's '80s period, venturing out into the film industry instead of focusing on the matter of actually writing songs. Then again, it's not like they're hiding the fact that they aren't the best of friends. If anything, the vibe that comes off of these two is less about the camaraderie and more like the result of two creative business partners who set out to build one of the greatest rock acts in the world. Even though there is a decent amount respect in this partnership, it wasn't really born out of love from day one.
