10 Bands That Deserve To Be More Than One Hit Wonders

8. Hanson

If you consider yourself a pop enthusiast, you can normally pick up on songs that are kind of meant to be one hit wonders. As much as they might be catchy in the moment, there's no real chance of these kind of things having any sort of shelf life in the future. And if there was any song that had the one hit wonder card prestamped on it, it would have to have been MMMbop by Hanson.

I mean, in the era before the teeny bopper fad of the late '90s kicked in with the rise of boy bands, the idea of these kids with abnormally long hair singing a nonsense chorus should have been dead in the water after the first hit. Though originally seen as the usual manufactured product, Hanson have actually managed to hold their own as a rock band since their debut, with some decent songwriting chops to their name.

Apart from their classic hit, a lot of Hanson's later work is a lot more forceful, having had the baby fat fade from the first few years of their existence. As far as the charts go, there's still that stigma of not wanting to take child stars all that seriously. Then again, if the Jonas Brothers can have a successful comeback, where's the harm in giving these guys some screentime every now and again?
