There's always a gimmick that comes with having a pinup pop star playing guitar. As much as they might seem to be the tried and true musician type, chances are a lot of these people are just thrown in front of the camera to look like they somewhat know how to play their instruments. Though Orianthi nearly fell into this category, According To You set one thing apart...this woman can play.

Being one of the few miracles of a rock song on the charts in the 2010's, Orianthi's blistering leads across this entire song are almost enough to put most modern metal guitarists to shame, always staying tuneful without becoming too flashy to take away from the rest of the song. Then again, given that the world was about to abruptly shift to the indie centric crowd, this kind of bombastic rock wasn't going to be around for too much longer.

It's almost a shame too...considering how some of her later songs like Suffocated are still barnburners that show her as one of the greatest players in the business. Even though the public didn't want much more of her, the music industry was certainly paying attention, with the King of Pop himself Michael Jackson taking her on for the This Is It tour before passing away. While you certainly can't dock points for the chops this girl has, she really deserved a lot more hits than she ended up getting.
